The Forest House is handcrafted, felted wool and hand-dyed yarns. It makes for a most unique gift, and nesting site for feathered friends. Made with sustainably harvested materials including sheep’s wool, natural hemp cord, and bamboo perch, it’s created by Fair Trade artisans in Nepal.

Wool is a naturally water repellent material that sheds rain, so if the surface gets wet it dries quickly. Provide a fun spot where birds can make a home to raise young, or even snag some colorful fibers to build their own nests. 1.25″ entrance accommodates chickadees, titmice, wrens, and other small cavity nesting birds.

Felt wool birdhouses is designed for year-round outdoor use, and should maintain it’s structure for at least one year, with a longer life span if hung in a sheltered area. Colors may begin to fade if left in direct sunlight for more than two months.
